....communism, as Churchill once stated about socialism, is the equal sharing of misery.

In 1924 Eugene V. Debbs advanced the same kind of stupidity about Industrialization.

He said that automating assembly lines would throw everyone out of work. Yet, nearly every year afterward more Americans had jobs than ever before. Mechanizing assembly lines put more people to work building the modernization and supporting the process as well as being employed supporting the generalized growth they spurred.

And today, now that you are worried about AI and DJT, again more Americans have jobs than ever before. Blue collar jobs are booming. Mechanics are earning 6 figures. Our local ductwork company can't hire enough workers and keeps turning away work. It's amazing!!

That said, there are certain jobs that were hot just a few years ago that are not hot today. High school graduates should thing hard about their future if they are looking at a career in coding, for example. And as always, French Poetry and Gender Studies students really need to think seriously about how they plan to monetize the "talent" they are trying to culture.
