...when they spend all their money eating out, buying stuff they don't really need, etc. then cannot pay their bills, the answer is "I deserve something for myself every now and then."
When you turn them down for a loan - that will never be repaid - they say "You know you can afford it."
When they compare their situations to others who are doing well they say "Well, they are just really lucky." They give no credit for those who simply made better choices in life.
Then, there are some - like my sister - who simply blames "the rich" for her situation. "They take all the money for themselves and don't care about anyone else." It's as if they believe that if Elon Musk did not have a trillion dollars of net worth it would simply be sitting there waiting for her to drive by and pick it up.
