A moccasin does not yield. If your boat is between him and where he's going, he's coming through the boat your sitting in.

...he said he and his brother were running trot lines at night when a big moccasin slithered onto their boat. Well, Neil just abandoned ship jumped into the water. His brother was laughing as he yelled "There's more in the water than there is in the boat."
