HF Underground has this log at 1839 on Jan 15th:
Serbian pirate Kristal on 1695 S9+10 with the OE6ADD KiwiSDR in Austria. 20+ kHz wide signal, QRMing and being QRMed by the Greek QSO net on 1700 kHz.
Having posted that just done a search for 1700 and Kalos Radio in Greek was on 1700 October 22nd, some unidentified Greek and Serbian stations on 1700 also logged there. When Kalos Radio went off for a couple of minutes there was another Greek station on there.
Many of the stations on that band play continuous music with only occasional identifications.
On that frequency it is likely to be a Greek unlicensed station, they tend to use that end of the band. Believe it or not the locals also listen that far out of band.
I pick up a weak signal on 1700khz most nights, language is unidentified - could be Turkish or a central Asian language - broadcast is both speech and music. Can't identify the station. Anyone have any ideas? Live in southern England and signal direction is from the SE or NW.
