Before I start there is that very old joke :
What is the difference between Fred Astaire and Walt Disney ?
Fred dances and Walt disnae.
Anyhow, people like to be liked and I may be no exception, but I don't much care about Neil. However, he needs to detest me for the right reasons which may be firstly that in the early days of my involvement I imagined that I and
the UK side of Caroline were far more important and influential than we actually were. Next that I awarded myself a status and position entirely of my own making and imagined that I had authority, when I actually had none.
Finally that I let him live in poor conditions on the ship and was unable to make the situation out there any better, but just saw it getting progressively worse in spite of my efforts and that of various others.
Those grievances are genuine but the other things he alludes to are wrong and entirely of his own invention.

So said Private Fraser to Captain Mainwaring about the German U-boat Captain in that classic Dads Army episode.
I think I could say the same about Neil Gates feelings for Peter Moore. Some recent examples on the Nutter forum;
The 1990 broadcasting act is easily circumvented as it only applies to unorthorised broadcasting. Ronan O'Rahilly in 1991 had offers from 3 third world countries for a license to broadcast from international waters. This would have made Radio Caroline as legal as she was in 1964 as far as tendering and the securing of advertising from British companies was concerned but Peter Moore's deceit undermined and prevented this from happening
Peter Chicago who was the driving force behind Radio Caroline between 1972 and 1990 always referred to Moore as that ridiculous hippy. Chicago was no fool
Thats just a couple of examples.
I am interested to hear from Peter Moore as to what he believes is really at the root of Gates' anger that has sustained for the past 30 plus years.
I suppose in brutal language, why does Neil Gates hate you so much.
