Although most people on this board and similar ones will hate radio automation with a passion, it's surprising that a pretty high percentage of listeners actually quite like it and would rather not hear DJ's between the tunes.
Imagine how much easier it would have been back in the offshore radio days to have been able to have thousands of tunes stored on a small computer system and have the option when there was maybe bad weather or there was just not enough DJ's onboard to cover the hours to be able to put the system on automation to keep the station on the air. How times change.
