Re: Dublin medium wave pirates
I could just about hear music on 1233 after sunset yesterday evening using nothing more than a little Eton E5 radio with no extra antennas. 1233 is a completely clear channel now so anything on there is free to travel far and wide. 1233 was the frequency of my local Absolute radio relay - Manningtree - Essex and was the strongest signal on medium wave but was always very poorly modulated. 1197 also appears completely clear at my location in Essex but 1215 does have a weak station after dark which sounds Spanish. Loads of empty channels for AM pirates these days and it wont be long before many more become vacant.
