Not sure why RTE announced that Radio 1 programming would finish at 9am. The same announcement went out at 0859 this morning but programming just continued!
You may well be correct that Joe Biden’s visit has influenced things.

Sad that it is going.
My wife who is Irish, often would listen to it in the car as would I. True, you can now stream it, but that is a bit of a faff compared to flicking a switch.
Can understand the economics of it, but another nail in the AM coffin.
