It probably was, Kevin - but one of these, was my first tape recorder - the second, was a proper reel-to-reel (I think new, from Currys) - which was confiscated by the home office, as it was being used with Anglia Radio - my first piratical adventure on MW, in around 1970. (broadcasting from a petrol filling station booth, that had two handy street lights, that supported the aerial)
I did try in court to get the tape recorder back, as I paid a lot of money for it - but the HOMO said, it had already been destroyed - which I did not believe.
The TX, was a much modified Army 19 set, that probably came from one of the Tottenham court road dealers, in London.

Does anyone remember these devices - I had one in the 1960s, when I was very young - they converted a Record player, into a crude tape recorder.
We found one today at a Car boot fair - complete with it's Pre-amplifier - for £2
