I appreciate it is difficult to find volunteer djs, but surely it is not unreasonable that his adverts are slotted into programmes hosted by competent presenters? As Steve says "time to move the station on to a consistent sound. I want my customers to see Caroline as fresh, relevant and interesting"
A fair point Steve. To answer you and 'Silver Tom' (over there!), I think that even the most ardent Caroline supporters will agree that they do switch off a few presenters but I suspect that we may all have different 'turn-offs'. I think the issue is getting enough volunteer presenters, of the right calibre, who can commit to regular programmes.
Given the 100% volunteer requirement, they do very, very, well.
Whilst I find many of the comments on the other board silly, petty and often vindictive I do believe they was a valid point made about the "silly" comparrison betweem Caroline and Arrow. As Caroline grows and hopefully increases power and audience numbers non anoraks will want more consistency in format. Peter and the team are loyal to people who have helped them sometimes now to the detriment to the sound of the station, I could nane probably four or five presenters who should be moved to either flashback only or late shows. Keep hearing the Gurt and Daisy lovin requests drives me crazy. Caroline is no longer the play thing of annoraks who would listen regardless of who or what is played.
Peter, time to move the station on to a consistent sound. I want my customers to see Caroline as fresh, relevant and interesting, not just andaging group who think time stopped in the 1980's at best
