RNI always sounded distorted & over bassy to me on MW, the 49 m short wave was by far the best audio quality.
Given that the TX was a close related type to Caroline's later RCA on 319, which was almost FM quality on MW in 1983, I find that a bit odd. Was there a undiscovered fault, on the RNI RCA?
