I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall, when Ronan was raising money to buy & equip the Ross Revenge. I doubt if the truth of that, will ever be known.
"Lyn Gilbert joins us to talk about working "Behind the Scenes at Radio Caroline in the 70s". It's a rare insight to how things operated in those "illegal days". Trying to get the movie about The Kennedy's and Martin Luther King off the ground and into cinemas, running errands to the continent to collect funds, supplying the station with new records, and the character of Ronan O'Rahilly are some of the amazing topics we cover. Oh, and of course, The Loving Awareness Band.....Enjoy!"
She had difficulties connecting via her computer so the first part of the interview is by phone, unfortunately when she did her level was a bit lower. Lots more in the book particularly about the late 70's when she was involved in supplies, tenders, paying wages and choosing disc jockeys including on the poor conditions on board with contributions from Peter Chicago and James Ross who she had a long term relationship with.
