I was in West Mersea this afternoon as the weather was so hot here in Essex and while having a tune around on the car radio noticed Caroline community radio is now on 104.7 FM as well as 94.7.It was relaying Flashback as it always does most of the weekend.
I know this was reported many months ago as going to happen - maybe last winter. It was said that there was going to be a relay to improve reception around Burnham on Crouch.
This may have been active for some weeks but I only just noticed it and nobody else on here who normally reports all things to do with Caroline has mentioned it as far as I can see.
I believe it was going to be around 200 watts so must cover a fair bit of the Southend area as well I would think.
It's not a strong as 94.7 from Maldon where I was in Mersea which is nearer. I can receive both frequencies on a portable radio at my home in North Essex.
