Today is 18 October 2023 and the 50th anniversary of de Kerf, or triangular, mast coming off the three insulators. Bob Noakes wrote about this in his 1984 book Last of the Pirates.

I took pictures at the time and it was only decades later, when looking at the slides again, that I realised there were variations in what the book said and what my pictures showed.
