'Hang On To A Dream' by Tim Hardin was played a lot by the offshore stations in the 60s. It was Tony Wimdsor's climber on 27-Nov-66, the following week it entered the Fan 40 - rising to number 11 on 18-Dec.
(If you like sexy French accents I recommend the Francoise Hardy version.)
