It must have been a battle to make an organisation that had no organisation work. Some of my friends who served time on the Mi Amigo tell tales of going to the Roadshow and being given “a few quid” by Robb.
A generally challenging role as similarly described by Peter Moore. Hats off to both.
I think that at this point we should offer our profound thanks to Robb Eden for his services to offshore radio, including RNI from 1970, Radio Caroline on its return and his help with the new ship, as well as being rep for RNI and VoP and much more. He was frequently there in the background and was always ready to stand in when needed.
I first met Robb on boarding the Mebo II in early December 1972 and he saw me settled in a cabin and showed me where everything was. We kept in touch, sometimes years apart, including when he was at Capitol Records up to his own station NCCR, which he closed only recently.
Thank you Robb.
