I've read articles on listening to AM in the US, where commuting or travelling over longer distances is more common than in the UK, saying that many people use AM in the cars/vans/lorries then when they get home don't use it at all. Previous Message
I suppose, this does put our Caroline on the same "Level playing field" as the bigger boys.
I still feel from a mobile in a car POV, MW is just as important, even though it is impossible to measure the number of listeners.
BTW, I'm about to pension off my dear old Red Vectra - for a Ford Focus (also red) the radio in the ford seems about the same sensitivity as the Veccy - sad to see her go, but the engine has done well over 200,000 miles & the rattles are getting louder The scrap yard say they will treat her gently Previous Message
Is this good news for the non Corporate listening?
With listeners now seeking audio via smart speakers and mobiles is this good news for independent radio stations if they can get themselves on the more popular radio Apps or develop their digital offerings.
I appreciate there's always going to be a problem advertising their offerings but how long before a internet only station can be a commercial success?
