Sorry.
Lovely photography in "Not so jolly roger" though.
Sad that the youngsters of today, will never experience these things. They just glue themselves to their little phone screens.
I really value my memories of trips in little boats out to the Knock deep in the 1970s - & my own bit of SW piracy on behalf of Caroline, between 1980 & 83.

Good afternoon all,
I remember Eric only too well, he led of party of 10, four of whom were police, which raided my shortwave station Radio Capricorn (formerly Sunshine International) in Bracknell on 24th June 1979. He was subsequently disappointed with the magistrates when I only received a £25 fine with £45 costs.
I have one amusing memory of the whole incident - one of the police officers in the raid was a Bettina Drake. I met her again later in '79 in Heatherwood Hospital where I served as a DJ and engineer for Radio Heatherwood. Bettina was a patient at the time and she introduced me to her brother, John Drake. My on-air persona was Johnnie Drake!
Mr Gotts must have been well remunerated for his nasty deeds for he and his wife Averil lived in a listed cottage in Terling:

Eric and Averil were active in their community being members of their local history and horticultural societies, so I guess he became a good citizen in his later years.
Kind regards,
Trev.

Does anyone remember this DTI & home office lout?
Apparently he died not long ago - I never had any dealings with him myself, more with Micheal Hawkins from Colchester.
I wonder if he is still around, now?
