Caroline North arrived off the coast of Ramsey on Tynwald Day in July 1964. The station attracted huge audiences across the north of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Eventually it caused a constitutional crisis and a stand-off between Tynwald and Westminster.
An evening of presentations by Radio Caroline historians :

Hosted by Chris Pearson, Radio Caroline experts, Ray Clark (re Caroline South) and Andy Wint (re Caroline North) will be presenting their separate fascinating illustrated talks about the history of the world's most famous offshore pirate station. Join them and host, Radio Caroline DJ Chris Pearson, at the Mitre Hotel (used by the 1960s Caroline DJs) for an evening of nostalgia and surprises.
All proceeds go the MV Ross Revenge (Home of Radio Caroline) Charity raising funds for the Ross Revenge Dry Dock Appeal (Charity no 1195589).
