Once I got to the Revenge and thawed out I borrowed a phone and my partner Melanie went to the jetty and recovered my items
Thing is, the critical bit of the trip at night or in fog is to get from Maldon to past Heybridge Basin without hitting anything. Thereafter it is a matter of going to Osea Island and turning left.If the floodlights on the ship cannot yet be seen one just heads for the power station which is always visible.
So that is the time for coffee and snacks, only I had neither.
Got a cooling problems on the lifeboat. but after that I will be able to do the water supply runs again.
