Filming took place on Saturday 6th July last year when at short notice the 648 signal came live from the ship between 9am and 4pm. Nigel Harris posted this short reel of Michael Portillo in the studio. I posted the link to at the time.

During his programme Nigel said the journey out had been choppy.

You can see him in the Caroline studio in the introduction to each episode in this series, 40 seconds. At 22 seconds there's a very brief shot of him on I presume the boat rise to or from the Ross Revenge.

Thanks for the information. Previous Message
This weeks Radio Times had an article on the current 16th series of Great British Railway Journeys, 6.30 pm weekdays on BBC2.
On each episode he visits three or four places on his travels. He was asked to choose his four favourites from the current series. One of them was his visit to Radio Caroline. A link to their website where trips can be booked was given.
The programme website currently only has details of the first 15 episodes, there's a different journey each week. The Radio Caroline visit will be broadcast between Monday 28th April and Friday 2nd May. The exact date should be available soon.
