Diane Ward Hi Diane, I worked on the programme. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. The picture library we got this photo from said it was DJ Johnnie Walker but you are indeed correct. It isn’t him. I will inform the picture library and see if we can replace. Previous Message
Yes Ian - it seems AI is alive & well at the BBC, shame about their human intelligence , especially as JW passed away, not that long ago.
But otherwise, it was well done. Previous Message
Did anyone notice the mistake when Johnnie Walker was mentioned they showed a photo of John Maus aka John Walker of the Walker Bros! A bit basic. Previous Message
Thanks Mike -- hope Mr Portillo doesn't give up his day job!
Nice bit of publicity - well done PM.

Radio Caroline on Facebook has posted a reminder about this broadcast with a photo of Michael Portillo leaving the Ross Revenge wearing a complimentary Radio Caroline beanie hat with Peter Moore.

I’m sure we all remember that Portillo moment when he lost his seat and was never a fan of his politics. But having watched him on shows and his excellent series on Andalusia I’ve become a fan. He seems a very decent chap and the short documentary bits he does is always interesting.
Look forward to seeing the show and the Caroline bit too Previous Message
I love this programme, and am looking forward to this episode in particular. Michael Portillo seems willing to join in with everything, and I simply like steam trains - the comforting sound they make and that smell!! Previous Message
Hello,
We always co-operate when TV poeple want to include Caroline in some filming, but we know that the exposure is fleeting. Shows such as Four In A Bed and Antiques Road Trip are not very prestigious and our few minutes of fame tend to be forgotten by the viewing public by the next morning.
We are more hopeful with the episode mentioned above where the TV personality Michael Portillo visited us. The weather was awful and I think we would have been in deep trouble had we drowned the star of the show.
Obviously we have no control over what gets filmed or what then gets edited or what sort of slant they decide to portray. But we had a good time and Mr Portillo seemed to get in to the spirit of it.
So, let's hope for the best.
PM.
