I'm pretty sure that Roay Bates was not Killed - he slipped away peacefully at a care home. It was bit over ten years ago and he was into his 90s.
Once the GPO began pursing him, many of his best DJs decamped up to Radio 270, leaving Dick Palmer and his closest pals to wrest Roughs Towers from the Caroline caretakers. Not fair to attribute blame for the MoA onto Roy, RIP.
