I think the other board has merits, I quite like the variety of shape shifting name changers, and, ok there's some stirrers, but some very interesting posts as well recently from PM who shed some light on the old man and the Chelsea Arts Club. I found this interesting, as I used to see Ronan in his usual haunts on The Kings Road from time to time, most notably The Piccaso. I didn't know that he went to The Chelsea Arts Club, it figures, I guess. My interest in the arts club was that a sculptor I knew who drunk in my local frequented that establishment along with The Queen's Elm and told me many stories about some of the famous faces that frequented it. I asked him about Ronan, but he said that he didn't remember him.
I never broached the subject with Ronan over his Grandfather's involvement in the 1916 rising. I wish that I had now as apparently he would not take offence at the subject. WB Yeats is credited with writing about how Michael O'Rahilly had tried to stop the uprising, but capitualted when he reached The GPO with the words in his poem 'The O'Rahilly' 'I helped to wind the clock, so I might as well hear it strike'

And, as if to prove my point, another forum descends into nastiness. Thank foxtrot I'm not tempted to post there. Loving awareness is alive and well here, and here only.

And no problem logging in for me.
Yes, this board has been quiet of late. Which is rather preferable to the meaningless drivel posted elsewhere by illiterate, uninformed people. Previous Message
