I have tried a few times to receive Radio Jersey after dark just before it is switched off but have failed so far failed. It's quite a busy channel on 1026 KHZ still making it unlikely to stand out of the noise. I'm in North Essex.
I did read a little while ago that another Medium wave station from not too far away from that area has already just officially closed and that was French station Bretagne 5 which used to be on 1593 KHZ. The station had been intermittent and on low power since suffering antenna storm damage a year or so back and decided not to restore the service and focus on DAB+ and streaming.The station was the last private Medium wave French station still broadcasting until then.
