Sad to report, former Caroline North news reader & DJ Gordy Cruise has passed away. (per Kenny Tosh on Facebook).

Gordon Cruse was born in Calgary, Canada, in 1942. He joined Radio Caroline South as a newsreader in August 1966 before transferring to the Caroline North ship. Here he continued to read the news but also presented programmes. Gordy stayed with Caroline until March 1967 and then returned to Canada. (per Pirate Radio Hall of Fame).
