So fuck you, KVI and KTTH!
I decided I'm going to broadcast shows and podcasts through a low power AM radio transmitter to all the AM radios on the property. (I collect old radios.)
For months I have been trying to find the transmitter kit I know I had purchased a long time ago.
TODAY I FOUND IT!
I had to tear the fuckin' place apart to find it.
Now I gotta build the kit, get a good audio interface to one of my PCs, and find software that will schedule the playing of podcasts.
Here's what my AM transmitter will look like when built. These are nice transmitters. This is crystal controlled and PLL synthesized. So when it put it up on 740 kHz it will stay right there, "rock solid" (so to speak). The FCC had approved a license for a big-ass 50kW station on 740 AM right here in Redmond. That station has never materialized, so I assume that 740 is a pretty clear channel.
