Soon I will post how to file official complaints with the FCC. It can be argued that stations which do not even warn you by posting accurate schedules online, and surprise you with preemptions are not acting in the public interest.

But I still favor complaining to sponsors of the preemptive programming as well. Sports games should be on sports stations.

In reality AM radio is dying due to competition from online streaming sources. AM stations that also stream are still often at a disadvantage because of the frequency of commercial spots.

AM station programmers are accelerating the demise of AM with sports preemptions.
