It was just another "deep state" conspiracy. Obvious. They didn't even bother to cover their tracks! They underestimate us cultists! We didn't just off the okra truck!

So many conspiracy theories are turning out to be accurate.

But you are correct, the Deep State has been making a lot of stupid mistakes. We should be thankful for that.

Traitors who open the borders, steal elections and imprison the innocent are probably capable of arranging or enabling an assassination.

It is pretty clear already that the level of Secret Service protection was far from what was required, given the very high threat level. Records show that requests were made for more protection. Records show that experts felt the protection level was inadequate. That goes a beyond theoretical.

That pretty much excludes places like CNN and MSNBC.
