As for administration overhead, nothing can match government programs for administration overhead, as well as corruption and grift.

Having the profit motive and competition removed explains at lot of the reason that Socialism always fails.

American private insurance could be improved, but single payer is not an improvement.

Capitalism works better because of profit and competition. Capitalism is less effective when either profit or competition are not functioning.
