As an Afrocentric, I realize Egypt (Kmt), Mesopotamia, Crete, Phoenicia, Songhai, etc., form an aegis encompassing the whole of humanity outside of the contrived current-day framing.
The newest research points out that Europeans are actually from the Eurasian Steppes and interestingly are Asians who have wider eyes due to their back migration into the West with the Africans who were indigenous to Europe.
So, when we hear some of them say they’re related to Genghis Khan we respond in that same stupefied reaction, since it’s outside the current zeitgeist.
The reality, however, is that we’re all a part of the human family unconstrained by the surreptitious framing designed to create the in groups and out groups.
So, as an educated person, I don’t see why Angela Davis should have been so taken aback. She should know that this current dichotomy between people is a made-up reality. The Mayflower people were running away from Ottoman slavery themselves, you know. The Trump types were flying under the Dutch flag registry to provide Christian slaves to the Ottomans and their Barbary cohorts.
"I'm related to George Washington and the Queen of England, really."
Ouch! Les you almost sounded like you are proud of that fact, given how that relationship came about.
Believe me, Angela Davis wasn't proud of that white Mayflower blood in her system. Of course she was shocked and found the whole thing funny but she was angry as hell, given the circumstances.
