This man Thomas Alexandre de La Pailleterie(1762-1806) was the first Black General of the French Army, and being a slave, he became an officer during Revolution, during which he successfully lead many battles. Austrians coined him the “Black Devil”. Then, he was the leader of the expedition in Egypt, leading famous generals like Murat, Davout and Leclerc.
After being tortured in prison, he felt in disgrace when segregation started again under me "Napoleon" rule. He is often ignored by some historians as Napoleon - who opposed him - was glorified, which explains why people know him so little now.
Anyway, this Black dude was representing a threat to my white Napoleon French status, plus, his gift was way bigger than mine, so I had to oppose him back then. Shame on me.
Signed: I'm a Biiitch, Napoleon Bonaparte.
