Currently, a lot of push back is going on in Florida, I知 told, over the attempted furtherance of suppression of Black history, but the media is overlooking it, as we speak.
It痴 tantamount to the obfuscation of white slavery that was going on in the Slavic nations, as well as Western Europe, but the man on the street is only privy to the status quo framing.
Who was the greatest, Muhammad Ali or Rocky? In 100 years at the current trajectory, it値l be the 180 lbs Rocky Marciano.
Hubert Henry Harrison was born in 1883 to plantation workers of African descent on the Caribbean island of St. Croix. He obtained a grade school education as well as some religious training in the Anglican Church. Orphaned as a teenager, Harrison managed to relocate to New York City in "1900" thanks to his sister Mary.
He founded the New Negro movement in Harlem with politics of "Africa first". Hubert Harrison in my opinion was really the Duse Mohamed of Harlem.
Well, LOL , Goshh,..Marcus Garvey is now getting exposed everytime, I mean,...he was NOT the one who really started the back to Africa Movement. Marcus Garvey arrived to the U.S "16 years" after Hubert Harrison and was deported in 1927. When Garvey came to America in 1916 Hubert Harrison was already too far in his Pan Africanism. I appreciate Garvey's work but Duce Mohamed and Hubert Harrison were definitely the founding fathers of that idea.
