They were at some parties scratching records. It was probably a lot of fun at its inception. But the argument today should underscore the damage it has imposed on our narrative. We, all too often, go along with whatever mass media promotes.

Now next thing you know Gnawa will too start claiming Hip hop arts as theirs. Hahahha!! Btw, in France today, some young ppl really think that Hip Hop must be a French thing now . Anyway, todays Latino, Arab and even Asian hip hoppers and breakdancers together with their fans have a propensity to deny who really created this art form in the first place. Of course they can't deny who created the airplane,..its just much easier to step on Black ppl.
