I need to check on Timbiqui, Cauca, Columbia. Thanks for sharing the story of your friend.
Wow, TheOne. These enclaves are the best find you‘ve uncovered. I’ll certainly be researching these-type cities closely.
Interestingly, a Spanish middle schooler came up to me today and said, “What up, my pharaoh?” I was delighted. I said, “Great phrase. Maybe we can replace the N word with, “my pharaoh.” She seemed primed to keep it going… . I told them they are creating a new movement with the endearing greeting of “my pharaoh.”
Hmmm, Latin America is ground zero. I have a friend who married a woman from Timbiqui, Cauca, Columbia. Those just might be indigenous Indians in that area. This opens some very interesting doors, TheOne.
I don’t trust the colonialist framing of things one iota.
Yeah, I've noticed that "passport dog" at the begining, hahahaha
Right, I didn't appreciate when he said that shiiit about the Colombian women. Other than that I liked his personal discovery of the Quibdo city.
Plus, Quibdo city ain't the only Black city in Colombia, there are several cities and towns around Colombia that are entirely Black or Mostly Black.
Check the video below, title of the video in spanish says "What They Don't Tell You About Florida Valle, Colombia". LOL, maybe Les will translate to you. Anyway, Florida is a town and municipality located in the Department of Valle del Cauca, Colombia. And its first inhabitants were indigenous peoples, mestizos, afro-Latinos and mulattos.
