Thanks, TheOne. The key to keep in mind is that the Lachish depictions were crafted by the Assyrians. And they would assuredly depict the Hebrew captives themselves, not just Ethiopian and Egyptian allies. The following photo is from about 21 photos down of the link below -- you'll notice that the caption indicates that the captive's heads are "uncovered, which was a sign of humiliation," according to the photograher/author.

Very instructive. The prisoners obviously look Cushitic ppl. Its mentioned in the Torah.
