You've mentioned South Africa, well don't forget that no matter what Nelson Mandela at first believed that some armed resistance was necessary and joined in civil disobedience campaigns which included advocating bombings and the sabotage of power lines and transport links. Then right after that from prison, he started to move towards promoting and supporting resistance that was "nonviolent". Nelson Mandela supported Gandhi's ideas about non-violence. He knew that he needed to change the game, and most Black South Africans however kept supporting him on that. Mandela could clearly see that a genocide was "inevitable" had he continued his foolishness with "UMkhonto we Sizwe".
Seriously, there is something interesting about the policy of trying to integrate if you can't fight and win. Look what happened in Tulsa, Oklahoma back in 1921 when Blacks "violently" responded with GUNS to the White supremacist mob outside the court, a few hours later the whole freaking Black upper class of Tulsa was bommbed and destroyed with many being massacred. It was a mini-genocide, it was like Gaza. And the classy Greenwood(Black neighborhood)in Tulsa, never came back again.
Look at what happened to the Black Tasmanians and even the Aboriginal Blacks of Australia, or the Native-Americans. ALL were determined to fight it off all the way to the end. What happened? Genocide and their lands were taken from them forever. Palestinians are definitely heading towards the same faith as those mentioned above, because Hamas decided to fight it off all the way, meaning Gaza will soon be part of Israel, just like when Israel seized all of Jerusalem in 1967. Its like not only you lose the land, but you lose a big portion of your peeps population.
Look what happened to Nat Turner who also like Hamas violently responded to White enslavers and their families,..He lost. Using violence against someone who has the means and tools to practice even greater violence against you could also be a shitty logic, to be honest!!!
