Its not really an illusion when you become like Michelle or Obama as a Black person, at least you "personally" make money and you are educated. It becomes more of an illusion when you take into account the overall set of negative circumstances happening to the Black world like poverty, powerlessness, racism, lack of education, etc, at that point you feel stupid or "lonely" for being the first Black who made it.

Yea, but from my observation, those 1st Black faces tend to influence other young black people to aspire to become part of the system without actually changing it - sometimes their very presence strenghtens the system, not the other way around..
