Why can't Martinique?? Man, good point, but there is however a group/organisation for independence on the Island except anytime they speak up for the Martiniquan independence other "insecure" political groups of Martiniquans would attack them because they believe they have it better sticking with France. Man , I remember back in the 80s ppl died in Martinique over these political elections on whether Martinique should stay French or become independent. A bloody fight took place between Martiniquans over this. Yup, uncle toms and house Negroes are well and alive everywhere, even in Martinique. LOL!!
At least New Caledonians are in a bit better position than Martiniquans when it comes to France. New Caledonians have their dignity, and their independence party is pretty strong. But again New Caledonians were not "enslaved" by the French, they were invaded in their own land and speak their own Melanesian languages, and have their own ancestral religions,.. whereas the Martiniquans were straight up Kunta Kinte. Yup, two different histories on two different French territories. But the outcome is the same, FRANCE is still there fuucking both of them, Martinique and New Caledonia. Just saying it like it is.
