Well, except for Nova Scotia state in North Eastern Canada, G. Most Blacks folks in Nova Scotia who live in cities like North Preston, Halifax, Middleton, Truro, H Truro, New Glasgow, Sydney, Digby, Shelburne and Yarmouth etc etc etc, are descendants of AA slaves(Not Caribbeans). They are technically "ADOS" in Nova Scotia. They got nothing to do with Caribbeans or African immigrants in Canada. That mayor in Middleton is without a doubt of AA slave descent. Yes, those who escaped to Canada way before any Caribbean or African immigrants showed up. LOL
