I always found it interesting that Iran has not erased or whitewashed (not completely) some of the artifacts suggesting the African presence in its early formation and development. And that's given Iran's demographic 'lightening' in terms of skin tone(something akin to what the black diaspora is going through as we continue to mix up with Europeans etc)
Syria also didn't go out of its way to whitewash their African presence, though we are witnessing Israel bombing some of those UNESCO protected sites.

As we continue to hear of Israel bombing some of Lebanon's heritage and ancient ruins, most folks don't seem to understand that lots of those ruins reflect and tell the story of the African presence in that area. Too many of us only think of Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Mali, Israel etc., when we think of Kemitic history & culture, but the African presence was much more dispersed etc.
