Susanna Ounei(photo below) was like the "Miriam Makeba" of New Caledonia.

Not only she was banned from living in her own country of New Caledonia, Susanna Ounei was a Kanak independence activist from New Caledonia who spent her last years in New Zealand as an exile. But while living in exile she also supported the Maori independence in New Zealand . Susanna literally wanted the French and the English out of New Caledonia and New Zealand.
