Never heard of them and that in itself is indicative of the ahistorical way we live our lives today.

So in a way they were ahead of folks like John Lewis etc? Interesting.

It would be interesting to get their present day reaction to the kind of resegregation we are experiencing in public schools today. One step forward, two steps backwards, I guess.

But then, given the way the pro-Palestinian students/protesters were treated both on campuses and elsewhere, it's gonna be interesting to see how folks are treated in our current climate.
