Its the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand's founding document, which was meant to be a partnership between Māori ppl and the British Crown. Although it was intended to create unity, different understandings of the treaty, and breaches of it, have caused conflict. Indeed, it is a document of central importance to the history of New Zealand, its constitution, and its national mythos.

It's just awesome watching the Maori indigenous people's uprising in New Zealand..
They are pissed that Kris Columbus's people on the island are trying to rewrite a treaty giving the Maori people full rights etc etc..

LOL.. leading the uprising is a young Maori female parliamentarian, Rana Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke, who's not afraid to use her cultural traditions to stage protests in Parliament, which is really pissing off the descendants of Kristopher Columbus.
