I never heard of the late Pathisa Nyathi, nor the ethnic group to which he belonged in Zimbabwe. In fact, I am having trouble trying to pronounce both. No doubt, the lives of many great Africans like Nyathi never receive the international attention they deserve. Nyathi wore many hats- historian, poet, prolific author, scientist, and teacher.
