"Thank you Rev. Dr. Malcolm J. Byrd for the opportunity to address the congregation of Mother AME Zion Church in Harlem this morning.

Mother Zion is New York’s oldest Black church. It was known as “Freedom Church,” a central depot in the Underground Railroad. At its pulpit, Isabella Baumfree became Sojourner Truth. Its endurance is testament to the spirit and strength of African American people in our city and beyond."
