First I heard of these paintings was from Dr Ben..
He got some backlash for point out the African presence in that area..
Subsequently some scholars did verify the Black presence etc..
One notorious Asian historian attributed the "blackness" of some figures to certain chemical reactions to blah blah..
The notion that Africans also plied their trade during the "silk Road" era is beyond some to grasp..
The Western framing of any African presence any where outside this side of the world is due to slavery, has done serious damage to Black folks history, image, etc etc.
