80,000 doves released.... how did the Chinese did that shit?

At the end of yesterday's amazing military parade, the Chinese released 80,000 birds/doves over Tiananmen Square..
My question is: how da hell you get 80,000 birds to fly in a particular direction and return to every spot from which they were released?
