Its hard to tell whether Hamas backfired or not when in reality Hamas helped Netanyahu remain in power at a time when No Israelis wanted him anymore. The protests against Netanyahu in Israel were soooo intense, gained prominence in Israel throughout 2020 and 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Netanyahu was about to pack up and leave, then all of a sudden, out of the blue, the Hamas attack came in, WTF? hahaha, thats why that Hamas attack on oct 7th looked fishy to me. Definitely something shady going on. Netanyahu is still here, he's still the prime minister of Israel.
And of course, none of this justifies a genocide.

Yes, Netanyahu & Israel helped create & fund Hamas to checkmate the Palestinian Authority, but it backfired spectacularly in that Hamas become a legit resistance movement. If is only in the West - because of internal Zionist politics - that Hamas was labeled a terrorist group, not in the rest of the world, especially in the Global South.
But again, there is never a reason or justification for a genocide or holocaust.. never a reason to burn little children alive in their homes.. never a justification to shoot down little kids seeking water to drink, etc etc.
What Israel is doing is horrific---it mirrors Nazi atrocities. Shameful.
And be aware, there was a huuuge anti-war protest march in Tel Aviv days ago. Props!
