As for Suraj Yengde, I've heard him speak on NPR and wasn't too impressed, although he sounds more like Cornel West than the asshole Henry Louis Gates Jr., which is cool. However, his wish to have Dalits & AfricanAmericans find common cause is never gonna happen. To me the Dalits have too much Kris KKKolumbus in their Indian system to find true solidarity with Black folks in our diaspora.
